Mechanobiology: Measuring and Modelling Cell Migration
From Thursday 27 September 2018
To Friday 28 September 2018
Location Super C, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany
The burgeoning research field of mechanobiology combines mechanical and biological analyses to understand how cells respond to mechanical stimuli. It aims to quantitatively describe the acting forces and how they operate at the molecular, cellular and tissue level. The understanding of such processes will contribute to the treatment of diseases such as atherosclerosis, asthma, heart failure or cancer.

The two-day colloquium intends to connect interdisciplinary communities in a joint meeting focusing on measuring and modelling cell migration. It is part of the European training network InCeM and carries forward previous meetings on mechanobiology at RWTH Aachen University and the international symposium on "Measuring and Modelling Cell Migration" in Vienna in February.

Internationally renowned keynote speakers, local experts and young researchers will present their latest data.

We cordially invite you to attend the colloquium and contribute to the stimulation of new ideas and cooperations across disciplines. Poster contributions are welcome.

The full programme will follow in due time. Please feel free to pass this information on to other colleagues.
