The Staining Combination for Prostate Cancer Cell Detection

Description

The TissueAlity-Kit for Prostate Cancer contains all reagents for multiple fluorescence staining of prostate tissue. The composition of antibodies consists of monoclonal antibodies that react with basal epithelial cells (EC) (Cytokeratin-13, -15 and -16, mAb 8.12), with secretory epithelial cells (Anti-Cytokeratin-18 mAb, M5 Peviva, Sweden) and the prostate cancer antigen. The staining combination allows to identify all cell nuclei within the prostate section. It allows to distinguish non EC from prostatic EC and within the EC subset to discriminate basal from secretory EC. By the use of the tumor marker reactivity it is also possible to identify all prostatic tumor cells. The lack of basal EC reactivity is than used as further indication for the presence of tumor cells.Please read through the whole instruction manual carefully before you begin preparations or starting to perform the experiments.
